The police in Anambra State have arrested three robbery suspects who have been terrorising parts of the state.
A team of operatives attached to the command’s Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) reportedly arrested one Celestine Ogaru and Chukwuebuka Onwuta at Nkpor in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State for alleged robbery.
The suspects allegedly attacked and robbed at gunpoint one Oko Chinedu of Enugwu-uku on January 25.
According to the police, exhibits recovered from them included one of the handsets stolen from the victim.
The spokesman of the command, Haruna Mohammed, said their case was still under investigation after which they would be charged to court.
He added that another armed robbery suspect, Chukwuezugo Paul, was arrested following intelligence report.
He said the suspect and three others, still at large, had on December 19, 2018 robbed at gunpoint one Mrs Onwuzuike Chinyere in Orumba North LGA of Anambra State of her Toyota Venza car, Samsung phone and iPhone 8.
