Samgo-Ota ( – The police in Ogun on Monday arraigned two men in Ota, Ogun State, for alleged breach of peace.
The accused, Oke Michael, 24, and Egbede Olie, 36, whose addresses were not given, are facing a three-count of conspiracy, breach of peace and damages Ota Magistrates’ Court.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Abdulkareem Mustapha, told the court that the accused and others still at large committed the offences on Nov. 4, 2018, at Ijemo Village, Ota.
Mustapha alleged that the accused conspired to conduct themselves, in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by damaging the house of the complainant, Alimi Dada.
He said that the offence contravened Sections 86, 249(d) and 451 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Mathew Akinyemi, granted the accused N200,000 bail with sureties each in like sum.
Akinyemi adjourned the case until March 14, for further hearing.
