Katsina State Police Command have arrested four suspected serial rapists and armed robbers following two different operations of the bandits in Dandume and Kankara local government areas of the state. A victim of the suspected hoodlums, Aminu Hamisu, 25, of Unguwar Doro in Dandume local government area, was reportedly killed at Gamji Forest by the duo of Abdullahi Shuaibu, 20, and Dauda Abdulkadir, 20, both of Unguwar Bako in Sabuwa local government area, before they escaped with his N100, 000 and motorcycle valued at N250, 000.
Nemesis however caught up with them after the said motorcycle was recovered from One Tukur at Zuba in Abuja, the spokesman of the Katsina State Police Command, Isah Gambo, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed. According to Gambo, the suspects were arrested on February 20, 2019 around 12.30am and have confessed to the crime while investigations continue. Similarly, the two suspected kidnappers and serial rapists, Muazu Lado, 35, and Haruna Lado, 30, both of Kankara local government area of the state met their waterloo after a fierce gun battle with the police on 17th February, 2019, following a tip off at about 8pm in Kankara.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the suspects invaded the houses of Bello Barume and Dahiru Shabiri, both of Santar Sharere Village in Kankara on 11th February, 2019, around 2am, raped three under-aged girls, and robbed cash and property valued at over N200, 000 before they vanished into thin air.
